my letter to prez this week...

Hey Prez!

Yeah I believe it... I think it all depends on your attitude and so I choose that this week will be a good week! Weh di go aan?

The multizone was great and uplifting. You know you had a good multizone when you leave feeling motivated... and then you get on the 3 hour long ride home to Corozal and then that motivation goes away hahaha jokes.

Honestly though, thank you for everything President. You probably hear this too much but you and Sister Hintze are the best. The love you have for us as missionaries is incredible!

You've gotta be real special to have that kinda love for so many people and everyone of them feeling the love equally. #RealParents... but yeah, I am good.

I think I know what the key is now... Casi one year in and only just starting to figure it out hahaha #fail hahaha. But yes, I am good.

My companion is the best and I love her to death (I hope she feels the same... if not #awkward)!! Our area is going good.

This is Zeanna Myers - She's got a date for the 26th...ahhhh I love her!!

We are feeling 2 baptisms... We really are feeling it. And something that you said at the multizone...

"if you are obedient, everything will fall into place"

because when I am the most obedient that I can be, I SEE MIRACLES...

But the weeks that I am lacking in obedience.... well.... its kinda like a crash and burn week.

OBEDIENCE IS VITAL! IT IS KEY!! and thats why its the 1st law of heaven.

But yes, everything is going smooth. I love my branch. COROZAL IS THE BEST!!!!!! I love you guys and thanks for eating that big mac in front of us hahaha. Its okay cos Sister Vivas had bought us maccas (mcdonalds) the week before lol.

One of the seventy from the reformed church ...
He's super chill though and gave me a book from their church ... show you when I get home!

So us Corozal girls weren't feeling the pain as much as the others would have been hahaha. I really liked that example though. Well I love you President. See you in April... YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!!!

Letter to My Mum: "Here I am baby..."

Oh Mumma! I miss you so much! Life is sweet here on the battlefield. Sometimes its tiring but its so ... what's the word? Fulfilling?!~ I love it so much Mumma! This is exactly what I needed for my life. Oh my gosh!

Playing with the Vivas kids in the playhouse
So we are teaching this one girl named Zeana Myers... she is 14 years old and she is super positive! I love her to death!!!! She understands everything we teach her and comes to church every Sunday. The only thing with her right now is that she wants to be 100% sure that this is the true church. I know she knows it, but I think she is waiting for something... Still tryna figure out what she's waiting for. The thing is, she used to get the lessons from the missionaries before... like maybe 2 years (or 1 year) ago. And then we started teaching her again anew - 2 weeks ago. She is awesome, sassy, funny and straight up. I love it here so much! Belize is paradise!

Sister Barrientos (B) & Elder de Leon are first cousins... and are in the same mission...
How cool is that???? It's awesome because they were raised together & she's allowed to hug him.
It's hektik!!!! I wish my first cousin was serving with me! Vite ??

Also, me and B (Barrientos) met a couple (Americans) who came up to us and say "Hey sisters, how are you?" and we thought they were members and then they tell us that they're from the reformed church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They were super nice and kept calling us "cousins" of the church. The man is actually one of the seventy of that church. They were explaining to us the history of their church and how they are based in Independence, Missouri. I asked if they still have a Prophet and they said recently that stopped because Joseph Smith's line stopped having sons... #aca-awkward lol. But you know, each to ya own. They were heaps nice so I was good.
Anyways... the mission is the best! Tell tee she'll regret it if she doesn't serve. Plain and simple. And regret is the WORST feeling you could feel... I love this Gospel. It is so TRUE! It just makes sense... this is the church of God... there is no other words to be said. THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE CHURCH. There is no doubt in my mind. This is the church. This is it.

Well I love you Mumma, so much! HEAPS AND HEAPS AND HEAPS!!!! Til next week.

Also... I need garments and shoes... just letting you know lol. Tell Lulu to send me money. She told me before my mission if I need anything just ask.. "So here I am baby" #UB40 lol! Anyways... I'm out. I love you so much Mumma!!!

Robert Carter

The mission life is hard.

But I have never felt this kind of happiness before. The happiness I feel sharing this Gospel with the people that I meet everyday - Its something so sacred and beautiful and you can really feel the spirit moving through you as you speak and teach. I love the mission with all of me. Okay.

Robert Carter: When I first came to Corozal I met Brother Carter and the missionaries who were here first told me that he was a MARC (recent convert or less active) and so I was like, oh thats cool he comes every Sunday but he lives in the Elders area so thats cool. And then when we opened up Corozal 2 I realised that he was in our area now.

We start to bump into him in the street, central park, riding his bike past us we say hi. Then ZL tells us that he isn't a member #DryMormon and so we ask him his story. He says that he was invited to church one day (2 years ago) and since then he's loved it and hasn't missed a Sunday since. And I wondered why the missionaries never baptised him. It's because they could never get a hold of him. He is never at home and he is a mechanic but on the go (visits homes) and so we set appointments to meet him in the park. And we teach him there. He is super positive but (there's always a but) he also attends the Adventist church every Saturday. And so at the present time we have been encouraging him to pray about what's right because only God can give us the real answer we are looking for. Because he told us that he wanted to ask his pastor lol... Egg! But anyways I love this old man (66 years) and he is super great! But you'll be hearing more about Mr Carter in the future. He is the greatest! #grandpa.

No time.

So I gotta go but just like always (como siempre) I want to leave you with my testimony that I know that the things that I am sharing everyday to these people here in Belize are the truths. That when Jesus Christ was on the Earth he set up ONE CHURCH, and that the same church that he set up when He was here has been restored again, with the same Priesthood authority that we have today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We have a living Prophet today who leads, guides and directs this church. The plain and precious truths are within these teachings. And the invitation always is to pray... don't do it for anyone else but for yourself. Pray for knowledge. He will answer you. Our Heavenly Father loves all of His children.

Well, I love you guys. Do good things.

Also, just off topic do you think I could get released over Skype and just live here???? I don't wanna come home. Just a thought??? LOL... Okay I love you all!

I love you, don't miss me too much. I’ve got work to do xx

Sister Loli
